Was random every couple of months
Never knew if you’d be picked
About 100 workers, they’d pick ten

Yea exactly
Once you pass the original test to get hired they keep testing you?

Oilfield related machine shop specializing in oil and gas well completions.
Everyone was subject to testing, sometime some of the ladies in accounting would be called.
Think they used a system that randomly selected SS number.

Ah so this isn't a desk job.

Got tested pretty regularly when I was in the army.
I never failed one by some miracle. I always thought it was due to having extremely low body fat and I would never ever give my first piss of the day as they would try.
Most of them were predictable, if someone got in trouble they would piss test the next day.
Pretty sure even though they took samples from everyone, they only tested some of them.

I had a job that for thirty years that drug tested me. Now I'm retired and can't find a reliable source.
Being a pothead with no money worries is my retirement dream. Hoping for legalization in Florida.

An Electric Coop. I actually wrote the code for picking random test employees about 20 years ago until the GM was convinced that was a bad idea by a third party testing company.
When I became a manger, I had one employee who I knew was a pothead, but he kept passing tests. He was using a bladder flusher, and that ended when they started no notice tests.

I smoke weed everyday. Not a huge “pothead”. I smoke like I drink. I’m better just on caffeine at work. I also live in Breck CO, so I don’t have a huge urge and have so much access/experience with it, that it’s become something I do everyday, but don’t want to do all day.

I feel that. I smoke every day as well but sadly don’t live in CO

You aren't missing anything.
People can downvote me all they want, but they have an extreme amount of bums who live there. I even recognized one of them the last time I visted, he had been on the interstate exit near my house for awhile, then when I went to Colorado I saw him there too. He seemed like he might be an interesting guy even though I never talked to him though. Always reading books.
But when I was in Denver, most of them were nothing like that. They were younger and super super aggressive. I went to a burger place one night called Good Times, and it was terrible because all the bums outside harassing the people working there etc. It was like a scene from the over-ridden punk bad futures in movies.
And the legal weed is not very good either. In order to get the good weed there you have to have a medical card.

Got my medical card a few months ago, due to a disabling wreck several years ago.
Not a heavy user, not sure I could be called a 'pothead', but I'm going to assume you are just talking about users.
First of all, yes, marijuana does help with pain.
I'll admit I smoked a good bit in the 70's, but what is out there now is not what we mostly had back then.
So many strains, so many hybrids now.
Have tried several, usually buying a couple of grams or if on sale, an eighth.
Still looking for my favorite. At the moment, Lemon Cello takes me back to what I was accustomed to back then, or at least it's the closest. After a pretty strong buzz the first hour or so, you settle in to a nice, laid back, comfortable spot. Where I like to be.
Another big change was switching from rolling up to vaping dry herb. Still getting the feel for that, but it is way more efficient with your weed, plus you don't inhale any of the nasty byproducts from combustion.

I'm fortunate enough that I get to move around as I want.
