Canned or Fresh?

If canned, be careful that it wasn't in the recent recall. I think it was all about how the machine cooked the tuna.

It is canned. I didn't know there was a recall. It's starkist (cans and the no drain pouches). Thanks for the heads up man

Woke up at 5:30 to do a run. Don't know how long I did, but I'm wore out.

Also recently got back into playing basketball.

Same boat (although *ahem* slightly younger and started running 3 months ago).

I had tried running a couple of times over the past 18 months, but finally got involved in a 5k group in January and ran an entire 5k earlier this month. Training for a 10k in May and possibly half marathon next Feb/March. Amazing how far I've come in the past 90 days.

I'm only 5' and a beginner so I am sloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow. Getting faster, though.

Started Feb 26 (it took a while for the thread to inspire me) and I have been running every other day since. Already I can run twice as long as when I started.

Next week I plan to continue on the path and go to the gym for the first time in a decade. Plus maybe join a yoga class.

Sarge you are quite the inspiration, made me realize there is no such thing as too late.

Day 3 of my workout program and I can't actually do it until tonight and I can honestly say I have been looking forward to it all day. Wish I could go now

Doc, I saw your workout program and I despise it. It makes you look like a dork when you get off the bench press to do jumping jacks or another similar superset. There has to be better ways to keep your heart pumping.

I know a lot of guys scoff at yoga, but it is tremendously beneficial. My husband never thought he'd practice yoga until I convinced him to try it with me one time. He was hooked! Tremendously improved his core strength and balance.

I had one yoga teacher who would have amazingly in shape people collapsing on their mats from her ab workout. It was intense. My teacher now is muuuuuch more laid back . All depends on the philosophy of the instructor.

I typically just jump rope. Or if I can do anything with a dumbbell I go next to where the boxes for box jumps are and do that there. No one really looks at me weird

And at the end of the day I'm there for me not them. I don't look any worse than guys rocking back and forth trying to curl 40s or bending their backs and doing "good morning" squats

That is true so obviously you do what is best for you, but that type of workout isn't best for me. Now my gym has classes. If I have ten or fifteen men and women doing box jumps or jump ropes with me, its all good. I'm also kindve weird about doing supersets around major equipment like the bench press because its always in high demand.

That's very true. 90 percent of the people at my gym don't even know how to do a proper EZ bar curl without rocking or without bringing the elbows up.
