It’s time to resurrect this thread post-wedding and just in time for holiday season.

Training for a 1/2 marathon in January and a full in March. Since my ankle injury a year ago it’s been hard getting back into running, but I think I’m finally there.

Ran 7.5 on Sunday (9.23 average) and will increase the distance runs every week by 1.5, while increasing tempo runs .5, for the time being.

Throw in a day of sprints and 2 days a week of cross-training (Versus-similar to CrossFit, but less cultish and more adultish), and hopefully I’ll be back in shape.

But eating and drinking are my downfall...

Only 55? I don’t think I came close to that this month.

I think my December marathon training is supposed to be 78 miles... that’s the most I’ll have ever run in a month.

Ran a 5k last Friday in 26:09 and ran 9 miles on Sunday in 1:23:35. Not great, but not bad. Tweaked my knee at the gym last night running with a medicine ball. Probably going to take it easy on the running until Saturday.

Still can't lose any weight. Damn it, beer.

It’s time to resurrect this thread for the summertime.

What’s everybody doing to get/stay in shape for the summer (besides exercising their fingers posting on the Rant)?

Still running here. My knee injury above took a lot longer to get over than I thought it would. But I’m back running now. I ran a 5k in 25:10 (24:51 according to my Apple Watch) a few weeks ago.

Currently:

Running 3-4x per week (tempo, sprints, long) body weight & low weight excercises/abs 2x per week.

No drinking Sunday-Thursday, light drinking on the weekend.

Cut out most all processed carbs.

No real weight lost, but waist inches lost.
