I remember the GK for Mexico, Campos would be 5 yards off his line before the PK was taken.

I'm rooting for France.

If you listen to other Americans you would think France hadn't been our best friend for the course of our history. Srsly. We love the country we rebelled from and the one we fought two world wars with more than our always friends France.

Germany may have one of the best lineups of all time. That team is unbelievably stacked.

There's not a weak spot in the XI or on the bench. Tall task ahead of the Frenchmen.

Allow Germany possession and hit them with speed at their somewhat slow backline.

I don't think there's a single player on that team who I haven't heard or seen in significant club play. Absolutely stunning assortment. France is doing pretty well so far, though.

So much for the Frenchies doing well.

Quality set piece. 1-0 Germans

Well I mean, they were doing well on the attack, they had the ball in the right place a few times.

Germany is a fricking machine, though. This is where they're going to play their best, waiting for France to get desperate and get the counter.

It was beautifully done. The free kick laid up perfectly. Strong work in the box to get into position.

If this is what Germany looks like ravaged by the flu, I don't want to see them healthy.

This is exactly how soccer should be played. Man to man, full-pitch press.
