I honestly didn't get to watch the Swiss at all during the group stage. I know they have a lot of young talent and I always end up with two or three of their guys in FIFA 14...

Argentina looked like a one man show when I watched them. I know it's a pussy thing to say, but if we beat Belgium and make it to the quarters everything after that is gravy

And don't get me wrong, Argentina is good but they just haven't looked like a solid team the entire time.

I think this Belgium group will be our toughest test at least for the next two games. I don't think they're better than Germany, however and we held them to one goal. (Though, it could have, admittedly, been way worse.)

I watched the Swiss get absolutely destroyed by France, so I think Messi is going to have a pretty good day against them.

They didn't look great in a fairly weak group, the Swiss.

They got absolutely torched by the French counter in their second game. Were down 5-0 before getting two back late. They put it together well against a technically lacking Hondouras, and didn't look all that special against Ecuador. Ecuador who only qualify because they play home matches at 9,000+ feet.

Moments of brilliance on the attack and questionable defense. Could be a goal fest in our early match today.

Yeah I know they have a ton of talent, just when I watched them it looked like Messi and 10 other guys standing around watching

I would have to wonder what Argentina would look like without Messi.

That would be an interesting proposition, because I don't even know if they'd qualify without him.

Did they have Aguero during qualifying?

I mean shite id like to see them with Messi in our group and see what happened. They got a very favorable draw

Yes, they did but he didn't do much of anything due to a thigh problem.

He will not make the Swiss game but they're saying his replacement is pretty good, we'll have to wait to see.

Addendum: And they had one of the easiest brackets around. None of those teams were all that great.

I said gay, didn't I?

All jest aside, and since we're just bullshitting right now.

I'm kind of glad we picked up TAMU in the SEC.

The Texas A&M move was genius both for the SEC and for aTm. There wasn't and will not be a move that tops it. Period.

Most Aggies including myself were livid when it looked like the move fell through in 2010. It was just one of those things that the more you think about it, the more sense it made.

Haven't regretted a single aspect of it. Not even losing the texas game.

Opened a lot of doors for recruiting, which is always a plus these days.

I hope we're not on the head end of a downhill spiral in the SEC.

If only we can get rid of Muschamp.

Oh yeah we owe y'all a debt of thanks for stealing t.u.'s de facto coach in waiting btw

They obviously had no recourse.
