Day 1 - skip the Little Rock junk, wave at the Arkansas River as you keep driving, and make it to the Pedestal Rocks hike before sundown. Then make it to Cliff House Inn to spend the night. So you've flown past your Russellville hotels plans.
Couple days later when leaving Eureka, you'll have time to veer over the Fayetteville and spend 4-5 hours or so before continuing to Mulberry.
Our original plan was actually to stay in Cliff House Inn but that is another hour of driving that day.
Plus my bro doesn't think Cliff House has good Wifi. got to have that wifi. lol We are gonna try to eat breakfast at the Cliff restaurant.
My bro has been to a conference in Fayetteville before and wasn't keen on going there again because it is 2 hour round trip away from the Ozark stuff.
what tourist kind of stuff could we do in Fayetteville.

Drive around and compare reality with Google street view images.

Since you're just stopping in, drive around campus, Maple Street in particular, see the greek houses and the stadium. Drive down Dickson, up Block Ave to our town square.
It's hit or miss on whether local places are open or not because of Covid.
The Mt. Sequoyah overlook is worth checking out, because you don't really "get" Fayetteville until you drive up to the mountain overlook, three minutes from downtown.
356 W Skyline Dr
Drop your little yellow man there on the map, look for the cross, then whirl yourself around.

not sure why people bash google maps street view as though they don't use it or I never go anywhere. I don't think there are many people who live near the Blue Ridge that would make a 20 hour round trip to the Ozarks. lol
People round here think the Ozarks are biatch mountains. full stop.
It is 3-D pictures of places, i have never been to any place that seemed different from the pics. if I like it based on the pics, I like it when I visit.
I'm aware of that little mountain and overlook but doesn't seem worth 2 hour roundtrip if I'm going to White Rock Mountain, Mount Mag and other taller mountain overlooks in the state.
I wouldn't mind walking around on the old part of Arky's campus b/c I like old college buildings in general but that's not worth 2 hour round trip.
it's possible our trip will be modified to include Yellow Rock Trail at Devil's Den State Park and we most likely would drive though Fayeteville to get there.
Fville seems like nice play to live and go to college but it is not a big tourist destination.

Well, no, But this one is literally in the middle of a city of 85,000 people, which is slightly different. You go from the college bar district and up a few steep curves and hills and you're there.
Of course it isn't worth going 2 hours out of your way. It's a nice college town, and most of what you'd do here is shutdown or operating partially, anyway.

i'm not gonna be out there until June 9th and later. the point of pushing it back is more things should be open.
