Vinny Del Negro fired by the Clippers. If Phil Jackson gets that job I'm going to jump off a bridge

TERRIBLE move for the Clips, imho.
I am a bit of a Del Negro homer, but I don't think he got a fair shake in LA from the get go.

I just read where Mike Brown was rehired by the Cavs.. I thought they were trying to get Lebron back in a year or two.. are they stupid?
Posted on 5/21/13 at 3:11 pm to UMRealist
that happened a couple weeks ago. they werent getting him back anyway

Yes.
Remember these are the Cavs we're talking about

I think the Cavs are the new Clippers... Kyrie needs to get out before its too late

Jim Buss needs to get on the phone.. What do you think about Dwight?
Posted on 5/21/13 at 3:37 pm to UMRealist
he will come back. the lakers have NEVER lost a high profile player that they wanted to keep
Posted on 5/21/13 at 5:37 pm to WestCoastAg
I honestly dont want him back. He is not a Laker caliber super star that you build a franchise around. I cant stand when they try to put him in the same category as Wilt, Kareem, and Shaq

Eh I'll give him a pass this year. He was obviously not 100%. He needs to be better this year. Besides, its not like we have any other option at the moment

Either way, Dwight Howard will drag out the free agency process almost until training camp.
I will not enjoy hearing about it on ESPN all summer long.

Both of these posters are correct.

Del Negro is a terrible coach. The clippers lost the Grizz series because he refused to double team Zbo in the post.
Here is a good video that breaks down his coaching: LINK
ETA: Another good video

I'm a Rockets fan, so of course I disagree on Dwight's eventual destination.
Moving to Houston would be a great move for him. The expectations are much lower than would be in LA, Houston's core is young and they have yet to reach their prime, the media is friendlier, and there's no state income tax.
