Ya but tigers is more of a generic sports name. You should change the name to something fierce like the hornets did.

When they first moved here, they wanted to change the name to the Express, but the NBA wouldn't allow a team name to be a sponsor's name so we just kept the Vancouver name.

I'be actually wondered about that for while. Memphis Express would be a great name.

What is your sponsor? I've never heard of a company called express? Some type of delivery service?

We did. It was a D league team. They disbanded, brought them back, and disbanded again.

That would have been my guess. I havent taken my NBA sponsor quiz yet this year, sorry.
And as far as names go I think something like wolf, for the river would be good or something with music in general if done right (Iike the jazz when they were in new Orleans). Something to do with the Egyptian city it was named after would be good too (my grandparents are from Memphis so I know a little bit about the area). Of you course you could always just go with the gorillas. And don't get mad it was just a joke.
