Oh, burn!! You got me!!

In other news, a guy was arrested last night in New York trying to burn down Saint Patrick's Cathedral.

Two gallons of gas, two cans of lighter fluid and lighters. He was turned around by a security officer and later arrested.

But hey, never mind me. I'm one of those crazy conspiracy guys.

Uhh. Call it whatever you want, but people are burning down Catholic churches left and right.

Keep your head in the sand, but when I see like 11 Catholic churches burning or attempting to be burned in a single week I tend to think it's more than mere coincidence.

But again, I'm that crazy guy who doesn't believe the bullshite the news and the politicians tell him. Not a single fricking word.

Also, aren't you in finance? You probably have a pretty good grasp on statistical analysis.

What do you think the odds are of 10 Catholic churches being burned down in one week and all of it being coincidental?

ETA: Don't forget to run the math on one of those churches (the most important one) being in flames for TWO HOURS before the fire department shows up.

Thanks in advance.

Is this where we say it's god's will for protecting rapists?

I mean, you could certainly argue that, but I don't think burning down sacred sites is necessary.

The legal system is doing a good job of taking down the Catholic heirarchy itself.

If you burn down a 1,000 year old architectural marvel you deserve to spend the rest of your life in prison, IMO.

Lol I’m not keeping my head in the sand.
I do think someone’s doing something not sure who it is but i do think all this is intentional.
And the St Patrick’s post was just a joke to make fun of Italians

I just don’t care enough about it to think my days gonna get worse

I find it interesting AGAIN that someone was arrested last night trying to burn down an important cathedral on the eve of the release of the Mueller report.

Remember, like I said before, they delayed this release til today after initially saying it may be released Monday. Which is when the Notre Dame cathedral burned.

As you say, God will not be mocked. There is hell to pay for these people. Literally

Nothing sacred about a catholic church.

Sorry, not sorry.

But don't get me wrong, it is sad in the sense that it's a beautiful, very old building.

Here's what the guy who recently rewired the cathedral and installed the fire suppression systems has to say about the fire:

""I don't understand this at all. The fire's spread is extremely curious. With really old oak like that, it's super-hard, so you'd need a lot of smaller wood to first get the fire hot enough for the oak beams to burn.

In 2010 we replaced all the electrical wiring, so there's no way this was sparked by a short-circuit. We put new wiring in place according to modern standards. And we went even further; we installed state-of-the-art fire protection and detection systems in the cathedral.

At all times, there are always two men on standby in the Cathedral, day and night, to go investigate anything the moment an alarm goes off, then if necessary to call the fire emergency services.

I am really stunned that this [the fire] has happened. It's incomprehensible."

They're blowing up churches during Easter services. There is little doubt at this point that there is a coordinated effort to spark some sort of holy war.

I wonder which group of people could be so desperate as to do this.
