I was in a very small (33) class but we lost one to cancer that I know of. I don't know if there are any other deaths because I don't go back there very often and I really haven't stayed in touch. One of good friends in the class before mine died when a wall collapsed on him during a fire. He was a volunteer fireman.

We had one freshman die of cancer. He's the only kid that died while I was in high school.

I went to a HS of 2000 kids and in all 4 years the only person who died was a kid in the class under me who was playing the choking game. There was also a girl my age that died of a heroin overdose, but she had already dropped out the year before.

In the 5 years since I can think of at least 10 people I knew in HS that have died. That I know of. shite sucks.

Boyfriend went to private school. I'm glad I went to a public school. Virginia public schools are some of the best in the country.

There are very few parishes in LA where i would send my kid to public school. If you went to public school in baton rouge, your parents were either poor or you got kicked out of private school.

If my house was 50 feet north, I could have gone to one of the 100 best schools in the country

This isn't the case in most of Alabama but a lot of the public high schools in the Over The Mountain area south of Birmingham are better than a lot of private schools.

I can really only think of 2 true private schools that aren't affiliated with a church that are really good schools, and your family has to be rolling in money if you want to go to either.
