Khabib will get humiliated by Conor. If Khabib was getting lit up by Michael Johnson, Conor will toy with him. And if Conor can stuff just about all of Nate Diaz's take down attempts then he'll do the same to Khabib.
I like Khabib but right now his fantasy about beating Conor is #1 Boolsheet.

Laughed at "#1 boolsheet". I've been using that lately. Hilarious when he said that in the interview.
Conor is my avi pic, so obviously I'm a fan and believer. Khabib and him are my two favorites (Nate's in there too), I like pulling the better qualities of both and letting their totally opposite personalities blend in myself.
Here's my take:
Khabib wanted to show he can stand up with a striker. He wanted to try to grow as a fighter by challenging himself. It didn't go so well. He got tagged good early. But once he stopped playing around and committed to his game he did his business and did it comfortably.
I think if he wanted he could have wrestled Johnson down in the first and put him in a submission.
Evidence for this is he played with him in the second and early in the third. He talked to him. He slow played situations. He wanted to put on a display for Dana and extend the fight.
Overall he mauled Johnson. Mauled him. And he got the specific submission he wanted.
Before 205 I would have said there's a 99.9% chance Khabib beats Conor.
And you'd think Khabib's dominant mauling of a similar opponent to Conor would only solidify that.
But, I agree with you. I now believe more that Conor could land a strike early, like he did vs Eddie and Khabib wouldn't be able to recover like he did vs Johnson.
But then I think the only reason Khabib got hit by Johnson was because he was testing himself and trying to prove something -- which I don't think he'd do against Conor. He'd play it smart from the beginning.
That matchup definitely got more interesting though. Before I thought it was a total mismatch, and it still might be -- but now I don't know in which direction for sure.
On your Nate point: One, I think Nate was content with putting on an epic stand-up battle. Conor's takedown defense is underrated. But I don't think there was great effort in that fight to take him down.
On top of that Khabib is a totally different grappler. With the Sambo wrestling and his bear like body type, he takes people down with a totally different type of leverage than Nate.
Thanks for triggering this response. Glad to come across a fan.

No Mork was from Ork, not Mars.

All Orks originated on Mars, just like us.
Mars was the birthplace of all life in the universe.
A series of intense volcanic eruptions across the entire planet, resulting in magma flowing from pole to pole forced migration to nearby planets.

Genuflect, ye heathens!
