Music player question for my phone:

I use Winamp now and I like it, but it keeps stopping playing the songs five or six seconds into them. I have to reinstall the app every couple of days to fix the issue...until I have to repeat that process a couple of days later. Frustrating. Any idea what is causing this and how to fix it? If not, any suggestions for other players? I have an Android and I don't like the pre-installed "Play Music" app. It's all weird since I updated my OS a few months back. Thanks
