no you can't. it might be good but unless it is a coastal city then it wont be great.

You know that seafood can be flown in fresh from the coast every day, right?

it has less to do with the coastal seafood and more to do with the people doing the cooking

And this is one of my favorite places to eat here.

Took a look at the menu. Looks pretty good. I think the chef should continue with the asian influences, because those dishes read like they would be awesome.

I already said yours looks better but our fishing is still better

I hear this all the time, but I haven't ever heard why.

You have easier tuna fishing around the rigs, and more inshore fishing just by overall area, but what exactly makes LA fishing better?

But if the people cooking it are from the coast there is no difference. It's all in your mind.

Edleys bbq in Nashville is GREAT

and

Jacks bbq on Broadway too

I lied though. I had the best bbq in Memphis bc I was at a bbq cook-off at Memohis in May. But I'll never have it again and it wasn't in a restaurant

also LA food culture shits all over georgia.
far better seafood since we have crawfish

This.

Georgia has racist Paula Deen.

Louisiana has Justin Wilson along with a gazillion other chefs.

Better food, better alcohol tolerance, better love of life.

Want to work (hour plus commute each way) until you keel over and get paid well for it?

Move to Georgia.

I've tried most of the menu over the years and I can't find anything I don't like.

idk where you keep getting this

it's like you assume everyone cooking cajun in every city is a Katrina transplant

It's easy to say that, but I can promise you my grandmother makes the best cajun food you or anyone else would have ever had

Pretty sure Georgia has more famous people in the culinary arts than Paula Deen.

If you don't like cajun and creole it's not better food. If you don't like to get stupid drunk and act dumb the alcohol tolerance crap doesn't matter. Better love of life is debatable.

Or you could live inside the city, take a five minute train to work and get paid well for it.

You should try Center Point BBQ if you haven't already. It's my favorite place to eat up there.

Not all of them but quite a few are.

Georgia gets the plus because it has some rolling hills in the North. La coast is better and Georgia has that monstrosity (being kind) of a city taking up much of the interior. N.O >>> Atlanta.

The rolling hills give Georgia the edge though.

And you're going to come in here talking about food cities.

I've yet to find a certain cuisine I didn't like something about it.

GA has alot more than Paula Deen as far as chefs.

ATL is a major food hub, internationally.

We've got whole sections of the ATL area that are all Korean and Vietnamese, no English on any of the signs or menus, true authentic Korean made by Koreans. True authentic Peruvian made by Peruvians. Pure authentic Ethiopian food made by Ethiopians (insert inappropriate joke), Indian food, Middle Eastern, etc.

Then you throw in all of the contemporary stuff, every celebrity chef you've seen on TV has some sort of ownership or spinoff restaurant somewhere around ATL.

ATL has something like 50 James Beard finalists running restaurants around town.

I'll give LA credit for having the most local identity, but for overall food and dining, ATL wins for just shear variety and quality for any kind of food you might have a hankering for. Cajun included....

the layout of Atlanta is a commuters worst nightmare

I drive a ton for my job and couldn't fathom having to be in Atlanta
