I'm pretty sure all of those can be found in New Orleans too

Not all of it. Bigger selection in Atlanta too which means better product.

I know all of that is in Nashville

I like Nashville.

It's not that great. I'd take NOLA over any place in Texas.

I thought this was a serious thread...

I stand by my word. I've spent months in Texas and been to every major city and some small cities too. It's not that great. Typical Texan.

Size, the experience, location variety. i mean fishing is fishing, but I have yet to experience similar runs than I have around here.

Multiple trips I've been throwing back Bull Reds all afternoon because they were running so hard. Still was catching the good eating size too.

One time I was fishing from this old camp out in the marsh. Literally a house and a dock on some pilings coming out of this tiny little marsh patch. There were five of us and we limited out so quick on specks that we bent the barbs on the hooks so we could keep catching and throwing them back.I couldn't tell you how many I reeled in that night.

Had some other noteworthy trips to that camp but never experienced anything like that night.

The same thing here. Dock lights, you can catch all species all night long, til you run out of beer.

And there are plenty of big breeder reds around here as well, and we also get a hell of a cobia run in the spring. Bluefish runs too.

Because of the barrier islands, beaches and inlets, you don't even need a boat around here to get in on the action, just $50 and a trip to Walmart.

And, we don't rape you on out-of-state fishing license.

I can never tell if you're being serious...

You'd take a city in fricking dirty swampy Louisiana over a city in Texas? I mean, I guess Beaumont vs NO is a wash, but...

well it's a bigger city. A much bigger city.

Also, people from New Orleans have this sense of pride. If I meet someone here in Nashville from New Orleans, we can instnatly have this kinda bond.

You don't get that in some other places. New Orleans folk are as proud as it gets.

GA has alot more than Paula Deen as far as chefs.

I can't name a single one outside of Paula Dean.

Also, the Falcons are from Atlanta.

But seriously, I just don't like sprawltropolis.

I think Baton Rouge is too sprawling and traffic choked.

The problem with Texas is that Texans live there.

Yeah and I've spent time in every major city in the south except Atl and I wouldn't live anywhere but Tx. It is just personal preference where we want to live. Different people like different things. I don't apologize for having over the top pride in my state.

Dallas is in the bottom 3 of cities I've been to. And I've been to a lot.

I'd live in Minneapolis over Dallas or San Antonio.

Listen I'm not going to continue to argue, but you should see for yourself before writing it off. Based on your name I think you would enjoy the experience.

There are places known for their fishing, and I think the south louisiana redfishing is one of them. At least it should be.

Great place to spend a long weekend. That's it. You'd have to be a psycho to want to live there. The only people I would give a pass to are people who grew up there, have never been anywhere else, and think it's all normal.

This is stupid.

New Orleans is much better than any city in Georgia.

Texans are far too arrogant for my taste. Also the one accent that is worse than a thick southern accent is a thick Texas accent. Texas loses by default.

We're working on a fence or something. I try not to think about that.
