I have to go up for a meeting in a couple of weeks. I have decided to bring the wife and take that Friday off to spend the weekend there.

What should we see, do, and eat? Work will put me up for the night in a hotel, but I'm on my own after that. Anywhere (hotels or airbnb) we should stay?

You’re going at the right time. Keeneland spring meet starts on April 7. Gen admission is $5. Enjoy.

Go to Woodford Reserve for a tour (and for the beautiful drive getting out there).

Downtown Lexington is pretty cool. Recommend Village Idiot and Saul Good.

Keeneland, as mentioned is a unique experience. Horse farms offer some tours, and the bourbon trail. Several good local restaurants, depending on taste.

2 good restaurants to look at are Malone's for steak and Merrick Inn for a more varied menu. Really like them both.

Worth it.

Was called the Labrot & Graham Distillery when I went.
