Mount Everest is the location of the God Emperor’s labs where he is developing the technology necessary to usher in the imperium and next age of man. There is a mountain there but it isn’t the highest and they do kill intruders there.

Thanks for bringing common sense in the thread

I’ve never heard anyone refer to Everest as the tallest. Only the deadliest due to its weather and sheer number of deaths.

Da Faq? It is the tallest measured from sea level and it is why the Hillary/Norgay assent is the most famous mountain summit in history.

K2 is generally considered the most deadly when you compare the successful summits to deaths ratio. While it is universally considered the most difficult summit of the 8000m peaks there are significant summits that have not been sent yet for various reasons.

Everest is not a particularly hard alpine accent, especially via the South Col. The real danger comes with the huge number of commercially guided climbers that have no business on a 8000m peak which causes extreme backups on the technical bits, in particular, the Hillary step.

Note there are 20 routes on Everest and only the South Col and NE Ridge routes are commercially guided, everything else requires one to be an experienced alpinist. There are still 2 routes that haven't been climbed, those are the East Face and Fantasy Ridge.

Interesting...what anagram is hidden in Mount Everest?

Venturesome...is it more venturesome to climb the mountain...or to be part of the conspiracy?
