Well, yeah, Tennessee used to be a far bigger rival of Bama than Auburn did. Most older Alabama fans hate Tennessee far more than they hate Auburn.

Harvey Updyke being an obvious exception.

I have to declare myself neutral so far. With the exception of a couple people, Bama fans have been very friendly. Same with Tennessee fans - again, an exception or two, but nice for the most part. The Auburn people have been very friendly too.

There have been some ornery Arky fans though.

I have two sisters. One was a senior, and the other was a junior in HS when I was born. I have four nieces and two nephews.

I'm pretty sure that's how it is for everything. I hate Bama, but I can still have a cordial conversation with a respectable Bama fan. It's the rednecks that didn't even finish middle school that give everyone a bad name.

The older folks from central Alabama hate Auburn with an unbridled passion. Especially after 2010. Don't let them fool you. I've lived amongst them.

Got you beat. I was a sophomore in high school when my little brother was born. I have an older brother who was a sophomore in college.

Wow! When I was born, my brothers were 17 and 13. Whenever I talk about my nephews, I always feel like I need to explain that. I was an aunt in elementary school. My oldest nephews are married with their own kids now!

No one does, but it's provocative.

Maybe so, but Tennessee and Alabama have had far more success than Auburn historically, so there's been more friction between the two historically. Plus both of your titles are tainted.

I thought he was from Louisiana?

But I agree with the premise - it's always the sidewalkers who give fan bases a bad name.
