I must say, Kansas City is legit. I loved it. We went to a Brazilian steakhouse, ate at Gates BBQ, went to Union Station, caught Sunday's Royals/Twins game, checked out the Jesse James house in St. Joseph, and hit the Light and Power district for a night while staying in Hotel Phillips. The rest of Missouri on the other hand? Sheesh. I drove through St. Louis, across to Kansas City, up to Mound City then came home through KC to Springfield with a trip through Mark Twain National Forrest, only to exit through the boot. I saw the whole state and came away depressed and thankful I live in Alabama.

I will say though, I will return to Kansas City for a return trip, but I will fly in this time. Zero chance I drive through the entire state again.

ETA: I loved the fact Boulevard was on tap everywhere, and not much more expensive than domestics. Tank 7 FTW.
