I haven’t read any of the article and I’m not going to because who cares about petty shite like this?

However, I would think if he was using an official Presidential Twitter account then he should not be able to block people. If he uses his own personal account, he should be able to do what he wants

He shouldn't be able to block people on any account that he's talking about his policies.

If you block someone on Twitter, they can no longer see your tweets. If the president is discussing policy on a public forum like Twitter, I don't think he should be able to decide who can or can't see it.

Don’t think that’s true.

I don’t see how it’s any different then having meetings with certain people about policies but not others

Meetings aren't broadcast to the public?

You know what he was getting at though. The State of the Union is a public speech given in a public building to the public...but you can't burst in as a private citizen and call the President a rapist. Obviously twitter isn't a State of the Union address but it's something. I think there is room for politicians to block people even on official accounts, the court just needs to better define that.

But he’s picking and choosing who sees it.

I don’t see why we have some new standard once it’s “broadcasted to the public”

Personally, I think everything the president does in an official capacity should be broadcast. Phone call from China? Put the audio on the website. Meeting with Congress members? Put it out there. Cabinet meetings? I think CSPAN has a few channels.

Obama had similar ideas for transparency and eventually abandoned them. Trump wanted to drain the swamp and hired Bolton as NSA. Reality sucks.

Because apparently our President is a petty teenage girl who can't handle criticism and has to be told how to act.
