I was just finishing watching the Tide escape with a win over State this weekend and I was so glad we won. I was nervous for the first time in a long time. So after the game I go to Wal-Mart to pick up a few things and the whole time I'm just thinking about how thankful I am we won the game and I'm saying Roll Tide over and over in my head. So I round the corner and I see this little girl crying and I hesitate and then I go up to her and I asked what is wrong. After as minute she wipes away her tears and she said, "My Dad is with his Army men(as she described them) and he not coming home for Christmas." I was flustered lol because I hate kids and I didn't know what to do....but it sorta put things into perspective for me....made me realize that there are more important things then just football....seems sorta insignificant compared to everything else. Her Dad is overseas fighting for country, while we are here fighting and bickering over college football lol. Huh.

Touche...but tell that to her dad...who's over there doing who knows what overseas....seems more significant then football.

See this is what I'm talking about.....everyone here seems to have some smart comeback for whatever I or someone else says...but I don't care what you comeback with now, there's nothing you can say that will refute the fact that football is insignificant compared to life in general. Fwi, how do you explain non fans? The people that don't watch sports? Or the fact that in other countries, they watch soccer? So you can sit on your high horse's and pretend to be so smart or better then others, but the fact is....football is insignificant to what really matters in life.

You can keep saying that all you want....but doesn't change anything...pretend to be the cool kid in school....but doesn't change the fact that football is insignificant in life...

While her dad is over seas fighting for your country....your here being a little boy complaining about your team....

See when someone finally shines the light on the truth, there's no one around to see it. The moment I reiterate the fact that there are more important matters in life other than football, people want to hide. I think it's sick what I've seen in these forums. Nothing wrong with talking smack.....but from what I've seen? It's sadly become a way of life.....it's come to the point where people here have nothing better to do than try to make other people miserable. It really sad.

You are preaching to die hard football fans on a sports message board. We can appreciate our soldiers and still bitch about our team. They are fighting for our right to do that and we don't need you trying to take it away from us. frick off.

Lol take it away from you? That's the last thing I'm here to do....I'm just saying I'd think you would have other important things going on rather than hating on other teams.

May have been best to save this for your diary. This wasnt going anywhere on a college football board.

There are people in Iraq right now, from Arkansas, who after a looong Saturday of trudging through the fricking desert just want to hit up the barracks and watch the hogs win football games but these cocksuckers can't seem to get it together. Someone needs to check THEIR priorities.
Oh, and frick you.
Oh, and frick you.
