Almost all of the Ole Miss fraternities and sororities have at least one black. Im just saying they are not completely racist by any means but being private they can choose who they want to be a member.

Although that sorority should have at leaset discussed the girls. We always discussed everyone no matter what.

i dont get why a white person would want to be in a all black or at least historically black frat. I wouldn't want to join a historically jewish frat because im not jewish and so on.

They lose a bit of their "private" shield they like to hide behind when they get free land from the University.

Whether you get it or not is really beside the point.

Take someone like me, for example. I have just as many white friends as minority and many of those friends might join a frat. Are you saying that in this situation I shouldn't try to join my friends' frat just because the frat is historically white?

Doesn't make sense.

The biggest takeaway from this is that one of the black girls rejected was the step-granddaughter of a UA BoT member and step daughter of an Alabama Senator therefore making her someone that wasn't as easily dismissed as those in the past may have been

I was genuinely awed at the balls it took to reject someone of this stature

Good for Dr. Bonner. I hope John England's granddaughter gets to be in whichever one she chooses.

I also hope they prohibit greek alumnae from any participation or influence in the process. It's time to rid the university of that culture.
