I was actually looking at Subarus recently. I've got about 150,000 on my old 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee which is amazing for a Chrysler product of that era. The 150,000 would be even more impressive if it had done it on one transmission.

You happy with the build quality of your Subaru? I looked at the Outback and the Forester... they all come with CVT's now. Not a big fan of that but it's still under consideration.

I know I know. Theres even a documentary on how lesbians saved Subaru, but the cars inside are really nice. Ford only makes trucks now, everything GM makes breaks down as soon as the warranty expires.

I'm also considering Honda Accord 2.0 10 speed auto, Kia Telluride, Kia Optima and the Mazda 6. The new Sonata looks pretty cool packed with tech features but it looks like a fish.

I wish. Believe me when you've done your 11th set of barbell squat and realize you still have a whole leg workout to do, you contemplate seppuku

A friend of mine has, since college, had a fantasy of buying an AWD Subaru, jacking it up, putting mud tires on it and using it at his deer camp. I'm not sure what's stopping him. Maybe the stigma.

Smartcars and used Prius's are the realm of frisbee golfers.

Well he'd have to buy an old one for it to do any good. The new ones that have CVT's the computer tells the car to Nope the frick out to protect the transmission at any hill climb.

Of course I won't be offroading whatever I end up buying. I do dig the idea of having all that trunk space though. When the economy falls apart and I'm eventually forced to live in my car I'll have leg room.

Love my Subaru. The newer models are even better.
