did he have some farewell post? I must've missed it. I saw him post some kind of speech on the help board before about the OTB opening. he was being serious in what he wrote and it was pretty pathetic.

TBH... I've got no problem with RA'ing somebody or making a HelpBoard thread about them... It's tough being a Admin and you need people to do that so you don't have to read every thread and posts for shite...
However, you should RA and requests bans with thought.... not just cause you got your jimmies rustled.

I'm all for people RA'ing when shite gets out on control, but like Jim stated earlier, he made it a point to say multiple times how he felt it was "his duty" to make sure this board didn't go to "total shite" (I'm paraphrasing). It was quite obvious and sad how serious he took this place.
