I don't pretend to know more than anyone about football, but I've seen that dude do exactly as you say numerous times.
One time I got banned from hogville for being an a-hole to some of the dumbshits on that board and after I served my six month ban patiently, I called him out with my very first post back on that board and picked a fight with him.

Banned from tidefans...been there and done that. I think you have to wear a tie to post there. I was a member there for 5 years and I was perma banned for using the word "uppity". No lie. I thought that that was a little much, so I Pm'd that a-hole Earle and he informed me that it was a perma ban because it was my second infraction. The first had been from the 2010 Bama vs. South Carolina game thread when I had said something McElroy looking very "Pennington-esque" out there.That one got me suspended for a fricking month. Then, three years later, I use the forbidden word uppity, and BAM! I'm outta there forever. It was awful. I cried. Tidefans and I had been a long term relationship, and I had blown it.

This one time, in WoollyAl camp, I took a dare from some older posters and things went downhill fast.
I used an account that had been registered for about 3 years but only had about 10 posts on it and went for the main a-hole's juggler.
I titled the post TideHSV, this place:
and in the body of the thread I wrote something like:
My post, naturally, was banned almost immediately but not before some of the pitiful people there, apparently, had read it.
After that, a response thread is created by some dumb-arse regular poster praising the moderators and admin and grew to about 10 pages long.
The thread was full of nothing but sickening posts like:
We love the moderators here.
Thank you for protecting us from the trash.
This board is my home and my safe place and it's all because of what the moderators here do.
We all love you and thank you for all the time you take to make this board what it is.
shite posts like that. It was fantastic. They thought I had hurt the admin and moderator's feelings and were consoling them.
There were even posts in the response thread asking Earle and TideHSV if I could be tracked down and have criminal charges levied against me, no joke.
We laughed and laughed at them for days and really had a good time with that.

Yes!! I remember that! Oh shite, there were panic attacks galore! That was right after I had been banned from there and had just joined Woolly Al. You said "I will gladly burn my account there just for shits and giggles." They were actually calling it a "message board crime" on tidefans
