When someone observes an event happening, it really happened.
It is possible to make free choices, or at least, statistically random choices.
A choice made in one place can't instantly affect a distant event. (Physicists call this "locality".)

Quantum mechanics works extremely well to describe the behaviour of tiny objects, such as atoms or particles of light (photons). But that behaviour is … very odd.
In many cases, quantum theory doesn't give definite answers to questions such as "where is this particle right now?" Instead, it only provides probabilities for where the particle might be found when it is observed.

Now I have always had an interest in the quantum world but I freely admit to struggling with understanding it's weird revelations. Thought you guys may enjoy this article.

No. the sound was muffled by Paul's diamond bit rock cutting saw winding down. It was high revs.

Scientists don't even really understand it yet.

That's why you get mind numbingly stupid theories like the many world interpretation.

I have to tell you that's a lot of energy if every choice we make creates a brand new branched off universe.

PHD's to remain in the club, are required to write a piece of trash once a year.

Sit through IEEE and you'll fall asleep during the Star Wars thought processes no one in the audience can understand.

I'm quite certain History and Geological PHD Clubs have similar requirements.

Serious question for you, do you believe that our universe is a digital simulation of a MUCH larger reality? Do you believe in beings that have no locality? I mean intelligent beings that aren't bound by the 4 dimensional reality, in which we exist??

It is a real possibility. I am more of an intelligent design guy. This question will likely never have a scientific answer I am afraid.

I do believe it is possible as well. It's a big universe. It would probably blow our minds to know what all is out there.

Appreciate the kind comment btw. I am not smart at all. I have just been fascinated with the physical universe since my teenage years. I gobble up books and documenteries.

Humility is a great quality my friend... Don't know if you've ever heard of him, you might be interested in Dr. Chuck Missler. Great vids on youtube... I'm an intelligent design guy myself...
