I make more at retirement than when I made 7 times as much working.

It may be because I'm stupid. But as a self employed contractor it didn't seem to help.

I bought parts and tools but probably needed a competent money manager.

OK that's all I have to say.

I'm dam glad I'm retired and all my shite is paid off.

Now I just need to stay healthy.

Self employed for many years plus working for CSX. Now I'm on RR retirement.

I now worry about inflation.

It's not the retirement amount. It's I was too dumb to buy a 70,000 truck at the end of the year.

Best advice I have for anyone is get a good financial advisor.

Great if your smart enough that you don't need one, but if your like me get someone that can advise you.

So you’re one of the guys that give dumb “safety” meetings now when construction crews working near tracks?
