Had two assholes try to get me into amway in college and one of my friends was so gun-ho trying to get us all on board and when I walked in my den with them talking about it I was pissed. Not for my dumb arse friend's sakes, as I said, but because these shitheads thought I was gonna buy into it.
I am already cynical in nature but I remember when one of my family members was crazy about this itunes competitor that was about to blow up called "Burn Lounge" and it was gonna replace iTunes. I was 16 and didn't have a ton of sense but I even said well, this is pretty fricking stupid. Close to 1k later that dummy figured it out too.

yea amway,primerica, advocate and the like you have to annoy the piss out of everyone so you can make some scratch. its tempting to do if you are a extremely good marketer and don't mind sucker in people but if you are struggling you have to hit up friends and stuff

I would not recommend it as a career for a male in their 20s, but as a side job, it can supplement you well

I have some coworkers that sell that Zija shite. They didn't take kindly to me saying I could go to Whole Foods, find you a good hippie cleanse that won't bankrupt you.

Did you miss the fact that I'm a spendthrift as well? I like nice things, but I'm much more the voice of reasoning between the two of us when it comes to big purchases.

Yea, I prefer my job and I actively refuse any products from those things mainly cause I am a dick. My dad's housekeeper does one of those and tries to scam him all the time by buying his cleaning products from that place for her benefit. He doesn't care but it drives me fricking nuts.

its almost sad for the ones that have to spend so much time selling it because they are usually low salary people. They could be spending their time doing something that will actually make them some money instead of chasing some kind of magical quick money.
