You can't link to people complaining of getting their budget cut as a non bias source. Of course they are going to cry foul.
Facts are, we still outspend every other country in the world by a MASSIVE margin.

The most likely targets are their former possessions in Europe - many of which are now NATO members.

Military leaders would be the most bias source in this particular scenario
If we can't at least keep pace with other countries while massively outspending them then they must not be very good at their jobs and throwing more money at people who can't seem to use it properly seems a bit foolish.

We are no longer capable of carrying out a multi-front global scale war. Our best military leaders have been purged in the last 8 years because their views didnt align witht the POTUS.
The way wars are fought might have changed, but we are nowhere near prepared should we need to take on Russia/China or both.
