A man with no arms and legs was sun baking on the beach.
A gorgeous blonde was walking past him, stopped for a second with a tang of pity in her eyes.
“Have you ever had a hug?” She asked. “No.” So with an “aww”, she gave him a big hug.
Two minutes later, another beautiful woman was walking past the man.
“Aw look at you honey. Have you ever been kissed?”
“No.” He says. She leans down and gives him a passionate kiss.
Another few minutes pass and another stunning lady walks past.
“Oh you poor thing...Have you ever been fricked?” “No.” “Well you will be soon, the tides coming in.”

I still like winter better than spring but days like today aren't my favorite. Glad the winds not blowing like yesterday.

the wind chill factor is a killer. Lived at Miont AFB when I was a kid and we had a wind chill chart on the wall.

Joan of Arc, French Saint and national heroine.
Joan is one of those historical figures that see saws between two different takes according to historians. One group states that she was an illiterate, schizophrenic, religiously obsessed young woman callously used by more capable soldiers to rally the country. The other points out that while she was as crazy a trout in a car wash she actually had a reasonable keen military mind, particularly when it comes to the operational stage.
Strategy is "how do I win this war/campaign?" Operational is "I want to take this region, how do I get soldiers and supply there in the best position to win?" Tactical is "f*ck we've got to take this hill, how in the french fried titty f*ck are we going to do that?"
Her strategy was fairly simple, "We have more soldiers (and God), attack the English constantly." Tactics... well at that time it was limited to "bring up our brand new cannons and lead from the front." Operationally though, is where she shined.
Upon being informed the English were laying siege to a nearby castle Joan decided, "fine, its a two day walk there, we will attack three days from now." Her advisors were aghast. Armies had two speeds back then. Lightning raids where they marched through the countryside stealing and burning everything in their path but avoiding battle... or a slow, and very ponderous approach with the intention of open battle or laying siege. A two day walk might take weeks to pull off.
But she was anointed by the King so they did what Joan wanted. And it worked like a charm. No one was used to a major army moving at that speed to offer battle in Europe. As such the French won a string of battles because they simply "got there firstest with the mostest."
Joan was eventually taken prisoner leading an assault and taken to prison where she endured weeks of torture and rape before finally being burned at the stake. It is well known now that the French Nobles and Crown were in favor of her death. A crazed zealot who claims she talks to God might be just what you need when your back is against the wall, but you don't want them hanging around the capitol.

Yup that kind of cold is no bueno.
I remember when I was working on drilling rigs in extreme cold and stepping out of the top dog house to make a connection and your nose would start tingling from your nose hairs instantly freezing.

Used to pass a lot of snowbirds on I-35 while traveling back and forth to work while roughnecking in and around OKC. Spring and Fall we would see a lot of tags from Iowa and Minnesota.

I'm fully on board with self driving cars and AI. The sooner the better. Grandma needs that shite.
