More the better.
Nelsons are still around I just looked them up they look like they are well built.
I hate chopping ice.

Ditch Witch trencher with a rock chain and a backhoe attachment. Also had to use a small Bosch jack hammer. Spent 3 hours on my side jackhammering sand rock under a concrete slab in 90 degree weather making a hole so I could run new lines to a cattle fountain.
Holy shite, dude.

Did you run the PEX directly down in the trench (sleeved through that rock) or encase the whole thing? What did you bed and backfill with?
Just curious because I've used it on services but long runs still make me nervous, especially where pressure variance could theoretically cause abrasion leaks (like up against a sharp rock face).

The main line is just pvc to a vault then I put my pex through pvc pipe so if I ever get a leak I just tie the pex ends together and pull in a new line without ever having to dig again. Trying to save myself time an work in the future if I ever have to do it again.

Trencher had a back fill blade on it.
What added time was having to drive to the next town several times that has a Lowes and Locke Supply to get everything I need.
Dusty, dirty, hot agonizing job.

Really good. I can’t complain. KoeZee, Ivy and Birdie wake up at 6am and want to go out to potty. It’s hard to sleep after that.
