Sorry, as idealistic as you think you're being, it's still wasted. I completely understand what you are saying, but in the absence of a viable Libertarian party it really is a wasted vote.

Even if he could get elected, he would accomplish absolutely nothing. If you truly don't want to waste your vote, work at the local and congressional level. Win seats, and then maybe a presidential vote for a Libertarian could mean something.

I, respectfully, disagree. Third party candidates are gaining momentum because of the corrupt two party system. It may take some time, but it's happening and it's long overdue.

As long as there is an electoral college, Independent candidates aren't going to get the Presidential nod. I just can't see it happening.
