We have a thread going on the board where people suggests folks to be added and we get a pretty casual vote over posters. I can add you and see what they say. Usually if nobody objects (majority of the board is down as long as you don't troll and you're active) then we'll add you.
We have a much kinder, gentler process then some. It helps that we don't have very many active UK folks.
