I'm just waiting for college football to be mentioned as a form of modern day slavery so this thread can go ahead and take the hell off.
Unless we're planning on running with the evolutionary tack that Klarvin mentioned. In which case it should take the hell off anytime now

College football being mentioned as slavery is an insult to the people who went through the actual torture of slavery.

I'll start the thread if I get 10 thumbs up on this right now.... Other than that I think I'm a terrible person to start that topic because I'm an Ole Miss fan.. Which always seems to involve racism.

This argument is ridiculous. Jews were slaves for thousands of years, and outside of Hank Greenberg and Ian Kinsler, the Chosen People ain't that athletic. And when did white people suddenly not need to be fit and athletic? Pretty sure white Americans have been working on farms before and after the black athlete was fully integrated in the 70s.

What do you mean relatively recent? USC, Ohio State, Nebraska, Michigan, Notre Dame... outside of the blue bloods, how many teams have won national titles in the past 30 years outside of the south? Colorado?
