Then yes, in the very stupidly narrow window you've chosen to look through, no, there isn't a heterosexual equivalent of a gay pride parade. I'm not sure what you think this reveals but whatever.
It's still the only example given of how homosexuals flaunt their sexuality in everyone's face more than heterosexuals.

Work filter blocks some pictures so I can't see that, but I can only hope it was a funny anecdotal reference to slipping it in the wrong hole. For some reason how much pain they get from that is a small reassurance you got a sizable wiener, and I've always secretly loved how much pain they are in.

Oh please, I provided one example and backed it up. You're ignorant if you believe that's my entire opinion.

You can't follow a conversation, obviously

Not even close to the same thing, but if you're so foolish as try and insinuate that gay rights and the CRM for blacks are the interchangeable, I'm down to laugh at you for it
You inferred that. I didn't imply it.

The man cited 'sins' from the Bible. He listed them off. That's not hate speech. He's a devout Christian who takes the Bible literally. THAT is what it is.
To call it hate speech is harsh and an overreaction.

And one can literally go THEIR ENTIRE LIFE without actually seeing a gay pride parade.
"UGH GET THAT shite OUT OF MY FACE" as if there's a goddamn daily parade of twinks right outside of your front door.

As a black man, I think my opinion on the matter carries a little more weight. Much different perspective than you.

He doesn't take the bible literally. If he did, he would be out killing gay people like the bible instructs.

I grew up in Dallas and I've never seen a gay pride parade. I think we sort of passed the level of super flamboyance. Lots of them now are really mellow and filled with baby strollers and stuff supposedly. Bourbon Street and Manhattan I've seen the most rainbow flags out and about.

No, you're picking nits. You're saying "well gay pride parades are flaunting of gay sex" and then refuting any response that isn't literally a heterosexual equivalent. My point is that sexuality of almost every stripe is celebrated in contemporary culture, so calling one form of it "flaunting" shows your biases.
But, hey, you're right, there are no heterosexual pride parades. How on earth am I going to get my fix of straight sex now?! How am I going to know that heterosexuality is the accepted mainstream of society?! (Oh yeah, television, movies, music, etc.)

Ok, Stonehog, ok

We're done here. I gotta go help my wife unload some furniture. Needed that laugh, though.

Splitting hairs? Do you even know what that means?
There's a hugh difference between implication and inference. Surely you know this. Differentiating between the two hardly insignificant or missing the point (which is what "splitting hairs" refers to - it's where one argues over a meaningless detail).

Well this is from bsu.edu which is a site made clearly for the fight against hate.
this is how they definite it:
So I think it's safe to say you're being harsh.
This site paints a picture that reminds me of Westboro. Not some old man who is devout to his religion.
He didn't say anything to degrade them or harm them. He cited his religious beliefs.

quote:
Hate speech consists of verbal and nonverbal expression that is used to demean, oppress, or promote violence against someone on the basis of their membership in a social or ethnic group. Hate speech involves more than simply indicating that you dislike someone. It also is different than simply teasing or ridiculing someone, or shouting an ugly word at them in a single moment of anger or frustration.

In many cases, hate speech is created by people who are part of a majority population. Their messages typically are directed toward people who are part of a minority population. The targets of hate speech are chosen just because they belong to that particular group of people. The messages of hate also are designed to degrade or otherwise harm these targets for the same reason.
