That's Awesome !! 
The place that kept my dog while I was on vacation sent a pic and he had sad eyes. I felt guilty the whole trip that he maybe thought were not coming back. He was a rescue dog.

You know he posted that 'goodbye' thread in here and then it got anchored. I don't even see it at all anymore (just on cursory glance).
Seems to maybe have been some beef there but I believe everyone has made up now.

I much prefer my dogs to humans.
I told my wife if she ever dies, I'm going to buy some acreage, build a bunch of buildings and then start going around shelters and adopting the unadoptable pets (seniors, handicapped, whatever) and taking care of them for the rest of my days.
