Requested. Looks like there is a 3-6 month waiting period. Thanks for the info!

Some guy on Ebay just sold me a brand new unopened 670g for $1800. This is such a blessing for my son. Thank you all for your kind words and support.

And Adama you should know that he is a huge LSU fan, and got to meet his favorite player Alex Bregman at the CWS a few years back. We live in Omaha.

Awesome. I wonder why he was selling it. Seems odd, but glad you were able to get one relatively cheap. Definitely work with a doctor or Medtronic trainer before setting him up, especially since he is a kid and a new diabetic. It usually takes a few weeks to set it up.

Depending on how old he is, there are a few summer camps out there that he can attend. They are fun and it is with kids that are dealing with the same struggle. Don’t let him get upset if his blood sugar bounces around. More importantly, as a parent, don’t try to over protect him. He is going to make mistakes, but he will know his body better than you will. There may be times where he gets testy, but it could be a symptom of low blood sugar.

Again, if you have any question shoot them out here. Someone will be able to help.

I love Bregman and he does great things for kids without much publicity. He can come off as a douche at times, but I think that is a facade.
