I accidentally huffed phosgene gas once and nearly passed out. Phosgene is what you get when you’re brazing a line that still has some r22 gas in it.

AC units break down, it's an appliance, not built to last forever (Hey if they ever manufacture a permanent AC system, let me know, I'll buy the shite out of that). Anyway, it's fixed now. Freon needed a charge, just like I thought.

I had to replace one entire unit in 2016 and another last year. I probably would have just let the upstairs one slide for a while, but my youngest kid came home for the summer.
