So this is the police officer who got fired from LAPD for "lying" about a police officer in a police brutality case.

I'm not a big fan of this type of senseless violence but in this case i'm not sure who the bad guy is. The LAPD isn't exactly a clean and well run organization known for it's sensible practices and professional etiquette but then again Dorner is most likely not completely sane. There are some conspiracy theories out there about this.

So my question for the SECOT board is what do you think about this story? is Dorner doing a necessary evil against an oppresive police force that uses brute force and violates the consitution so much they don't even consider the document relative to police work or is Dorner just some lone gun nut with a grudge?

They've made it clear they won't be taking him alive to give him his day in court. I think he knows a lot about the LAPD that they don't want out in the public. I also find it interesting that this will be the first official manhunt aided by using drones (If he gets killed in a drone strike i'll put on the tin foil hat for sure).

without a doubt. I'm very curious to see how we decide to use them because they could definitely just use them to thermal image and try to find him in the mountains or they could way overboard. I think it will depend on how much control the LAPD are given of the drones. If they are given a lot expect complete warfare to happen, if not then probably just some thermal imaging with a small chance that someone blows dorner up from the drone.

They've already said the drones will be unarmed and used strictly for thermal imaging, I thought?

That's what they said yes, but I have never trusted anything those scumbags say.

we'll see. They can say that and then when one of them gets rushed to the air armed "with no intent to use the weaponry" because it was to much of a pain to remove the weapons we'll see what the call being made is. Of course this is a hypothetical but it's definitely not out of the realm of possibility. I don't like the idea of drones being used in non warfare situation.

Me too. I also hope they crucify the officers that have been shooting unarmed suspects that have similar trucks to dorners.

Yea if they use a drone strike on US soil I think there would be some uproar in the local area. I would be pissed if they were ordering drone strikes a few miles from my house

i agree with you weapons or not i dont agree with them being used by the gov in the united states. the only purpose im ok with them being used for is search and rescue but it will get abused if we allow that.

He murdered innocent people. He needs to be caught. The officers who shot the 2 women and man in other incident need to also be charged. Drone with thermal imaging is no different imo, than a chopper using it. No problem. If they use it for any type of weapons use on any citizen on U.S. soil..then major problem.

I personally have a problem with drones regardless of how they are used.

i would bet lapd has ordered them to do it and the retards that are going around doing it dont even realize they are going to be rolled under the bus as rogue cops not as guys following orders.

For specific manhunts like this, I can see it. I would not want them used for any other purpose than situations like this one though...a multi-murder suspect on the run in wooded-mountainous areas.

While I see your point completely, this is the government we are talking about. Give them an inch and they take a mile.
