CNN is saying that there are reports of more pressure cooker bombs found and that one of the suspects spotted in a police car looks like suspect #1 from th bombings.

exactly. it'd be more likely that if any of the crimes were not connected it would be the MIT shooting and this situation now. Though even that seems unlikely at this point

I'm think something similar. Maybe they were MIT students which would explain their knowledge of explosives but would the cop just confront them solo?
My thought is that for whatever reason they stuck around Boston and were attempting to jack a getaway car when they were stopped by the officer and shite went down from there
