Anyone ever got drinks at a Pour Taproom location?

I just found out that Knoxville will be the 4th Pour Taproom to open up behind their spots in Asheville, NC Greeneville,SC and Santa Cruz, CA.
The concept seems pretty cool, imo. A self serve beer joint with over 60+ craft beer, wine, and cider selections to choose from. You can pour as little or as much as you want as you are charged per oz. instead of per pint. Making it easy to try as many of the offerings as possible. Apparently you get a bracelet that the host preloads your card information on and then you are able to swipe the bracelet prior to filling up and then are charged accordingly. After so many beers your bracelet will stop working until you see a host or server and they give you the thumbs up that you're still good to continue drinking.

Anybody have any experiences here before?

Can you really know if you don't like a beer before drinking a pint of it?

IMO, Of course. There's been many occasions where I was feeling froggy and tried something new on a whim only to regret it shortly afterwards. I'll gut through just about anything short of an off flavored gose and some sours though

Can't imagine they have many top flight or limited release beers available. Just seems like it would be all middle of the road craft wanna be beer. Still would be fun if you are prepared for that though.

Terrapin, Oskar Blues, Founders, Sierra Nevada, Greenman, Highland, Abita etc. The selection reminds me of what you might see at a Casual Pint. Probably not the best of the best, but some decent choices. Enough to make an excuse to go get a few cold ones after work

approximately what is the price per ounce? Waht I'm getting at is does the cost of 12 ounces of beer roughly come out to the price of 1 craft beer bottle you buy in a regular bar?

That's my understanding. I've never been though so I don't know the price per oz. After reading through a lot of reviews I haven't came across anyone having an issue with their pricing formula. They seem to be getting a lot of praise for the concept

I've been to one in Kansas city. Idk if it's the same chain, but identical concept. I was given an hid card and you just swipe it in front of the tap, as you pour it measures it and adds it to your tab. Every beer had its own price and they used a formula previously discussed. I really like the concept. If there was a problem with a tap the bar was really cool about and get you the same a mount for free.
