Our local Mexican restaurant has a live band playing all day out front They have customers parking and they take your order at the car and bring it out. Also has a dude taking drink/margarita orders and bring out to you.

We had a good little party going on at lunch. People singing and letting loose.

Fun lunch in the car today and I'm buzzed.

Nope, our takeout service has generally sucked in this area. Chick-fil-A is the only one whose game has been on point.

Don’t think you can get carry out alcohol in Arkansas. My wife would be all over some margaritas though for sure.

One of the local Mexican restaurants, the name escapes me at the moment, has been giving out free meals every Tuesday. I want to say it is something like 6 good sized meals at once, enough to feed a family for 2 days or person for most of the week.

Connor Shaw's brother (Dave) owns a spot downtown Columbia and has been giving gift cards to his restaurant to buying customers for them to give away to the workers fighting this pandemic in the trenches.

Seems like a win-win for all parties, and haven't heard of any other local places doing this.

Local Texas Roadhouse is going all out....all kinds of specials and selling growlers. Actually pretty impressed with all of the local businesses working at it to stay in business.....got to admire it, and hope they make it....many won't.

Also my cigar shop has been better than impressive. I quit buying online about 2 months after they opened because they were such good people but they have been STELLAR since the lockdown...curbside service, opening by appointment, keeping their outside patio open 24-7.....they even started selling soft drinks and snacks so they'd be essential so they could stay open...the dude hates it 'cause he is a cigar only guy but did it to serve customers. Very tough business to survive in in the best of times but his customer base is responding...he is as busy as ever.

The truly amazing one locally though is the marijuana dispensary a mile from the house.....they have hired about 20 more people per shift to deliver...curbside or to the house...and have an unlimited delivery area in the 3 counties around us...not a small area out here. I can't partake because of my job but my college age son can and does and they do a helluva business...

My hair place is only allowing 3 employees and 3 customers in the building at the same time. No cell phones in the building. Online payment after you leave. Everyone has to wear a mask and wash hands. Customers have to have temperature checked at the door. She has gone above and beyond
