An interesting look at Mossad on Netflix.

If you get the chance watch "Inside Mossad."
Its a fairly honest assessment of the intelligence agency in question as told by former operatives and directors. Several times they say "I can't talk about that" but for the most part they are all pretty open about not only what Mossad did right (and they did some pretty nifty stuff) but all the times that they screwed up.
The Israelis have no problem letting you know, yes, we will assassinate you in a heartbeat if you are a threat to us and we get the chance. Its refreshing to hear intelligence operatives come right out and say that, if a bit on the terrifying side.
The highlight of the 4 episodes was watching everyone's favorite Jewish grandpa Rafi Eitan chuckle while talking about throwing bodies out of an airplane or discussing using Nazi commando Otto Skorzeny to "convince" German scientists and engineers to not work for Arab countries.

Also, if you get a chance watch the four part documentary “The Lobby” on youtube. There’s a British one and an American one. Find the American one.

I think the battle was real, they found the Roman siege ramp and everything.

Only reason I question is that Josephus was captured and then turned into a Roman propagandist
I don’t doubt their was a battle at some time there but doubt the account. But then again I read the Bible’s Old Testament at times to read the war history and believe it.

I would give a special achievement award to smuggling all the Ethopian jews out of that country. Mossad agents purchased a dive resort and turned it into a world class facility... all as a cover to slowly but surely sneak the Jewish population of Ethopia out.

Several years ago I got to know a man from Israel. He told me as a school kid he and his classmates were taught that one day you may be taken hostage. When that happens know that we will come to rescue you.
You may die but you can die knowing those who took you will die also.
He had served in the military but would not tell me what branch, only that he returned annually for summer service.

I have a couple of clients who are former Mossad agents and those guys a kick. They are the real deal and they don't play by the American playbook they play by their own which is why people might threaten them but they typically don't act on it because they will take out every single family member of yours if you do something to harm the country.
About a 1/3rd of the Mossad is made up of Druze-Arabs and they can blend in anywhere.
I think their biggest wins were stealing the state of the art Russian jet in 1967 (MIG-21) and landing it in Israel.
Operation Entebbe was huge where they rescued 102 hostages.

Entibbe and MiG was a combo with IDF. That’s why I listed my list to those.
