I try not to internet brag because there is no way to really prove...
but I scored a 22 on my ACT and graduated college with a 3.1 and I'll make well into six figures this year in a high level of consulting/sales
I have buddies with 4.0's and MBA's who make half of what I make and hate their jobs
I believe you.

The whole premise is dumb.
I've never had a prospective employer ask my SAT or ACT. I've never had a prospective employer ask about my GPA.
Are there employers out there who say "Have a seat young man. Before we begin, I want to verify a few things on your resume. You have a masters degree from Georgia Tech in robotics, and you aren't from India. What was your SAT/ACT coming out of high school?"
I can't believe that's a conversation that actually takes place.

no i agree. there's no way to be subtle about that. how's that tax bracket of 6 figures? and you have no kids right? i'm wagering you're getting raped on april 15th.

I haven't filed yet, but yea no kids. I've taken a nice chunk out of each salary paycheck in hopes of covering it. Last year I was in a lower tax bracket so it shouldn't be as bad. My income went up significantly around November.
eta bonuses and commissions are taxed at a higher rate, which makes up about 30-35% of my income now. Hoping that helps.

I was asked what my gpa was for my current job but they put more stock into a personality test. 3.1 isn't bad though.

Telling someone how much you make is classless, that's why you come off as a douche when doing so.

I have a friend that got a 33 on the ACT, graduated college with a 4.0, got his masters and works at Wal Mart now. Not that working at Walmart is demeaning work, but it seems a bit below somebody with those credentials.
Seems like this guy failed to learn the most important lesson in his 16 years of formal education: How to learn from learning. He doesn't know how to tie what he learned into life.
Learning to learn is a skill that carries us from cradle to grave. Memorization is not the same as relating something we've been taught to another bit of knowledge. I would guess the poor schmuck hasn't experienced many "Aha!" moments in his life.

I've been making in excess of 6 figures since I was 19 (when I was in the free world) and have absolutely nothing to show for it but some pretty great memories

You don't have to go to college to be smart, but you already know that.
