Remember when the Pels were 6-22 and some people speculated that JJ would demand a trade because they thought winning was all that mattered to him? Here's why that didn't happen:
JJ talks about legacy with Sue Bird on a recent podcast and said:

As I've gotten older in my career, it's not that I value winning any less, but I've learned to value other things. Whereas college at Duke or early in my NBA career, it's literally all I thought about, and I would measure everything against that. And so it became if I don't win an NBA championship or if I didn't win a college championship then my legacy isn't meaningful and I'm not leaving an impact.
As I've gotten older I've realized this mentoring thing has become really, really important for me, and my last 3 years, my 2 years in Philly and this year in New Orleans it's been incredibly rewarding. And I say this to people all the time, it's not like I want credit for it, because I don't, it's just I actually enjoy it. For me the greatest joy is going to be if Nickeil Alexander Walker in 5 or 6 years is an All Star, I hope my name never gets mentioned, but I would be the happiest person if that happened. So it becomes...that's where the value is created a little differently as you get older.

if season isn't finished, is his streak still in tact?

If nobody makes the playoffs is that like everybody making the playoffs?

Why yes, yes it is.
And everyone has claim to 1/30th of a championship

I hope he retires on the Pels. Great guy. Loved him at Duke when it was easy to hate him. Never thought I'd see him in a NOLA uniform.

He’s probably like a father to lots of these guys in a moment like this.

Regardless he’ll always have an asterisk to say this year didn’t count

Welp,! He’s no Christian Laettner.

Did JJ out Frank Jackson for being on the weed in his last podcast with Big cat and Russillo? Someone asked him which teammate would be the best to quarantine with. He said FJ because he has the best supply, if you know what I mean

Im sitting on the take that he is being groomed to take over as coach after next season.
Seems like the type of move Griff would think of.

I think JJ has been on record that he has no interest in coaching in the NBA.

On one of his podcasts he talked about life after basketball and it sounds like he plans to live a much more leisurely paced life than being a coach or working in the front office would allow.

What is JJ's contract situation with the Pels? I hope he is back next year.

I believe he signed a 2 year deal so he’s back next year
