Not going to lie, that logo bummed the hell out of me. It’s very seldom that cool records have shitty aesthetics.

Don't love it, don't hate it. As long as it compliments the rest of the album's artwork and musical themes. Given Tool's penchant for artistry, I'm certain it will.

They've always been about symmetrical duality in their music, so this logo kinda makes sense.
