I'd love one set time for 365 days but I also understand how it makes an extreme difference in Wisconsin compared to Louisiana. Northern states are impacted much greater than southern.

To me, it's been this way for a year or so. The more technology we have, the worse the weather forecasts become.

Edit: I'm referring to the rain forecasts. They usually get the temperatures right.

This one will likely be Paxton by 4-6.

I asked ChatGPT about the origin of the two minute “warning”:

The “two-minute warning” got its name because, originally, it really was a warning to the teams that roughly two minutes remained in the half.

In the NFL’s early decades, the official game clock was kept by an on-field official, while stadium clocks weren’t necessarily considered authoritative. So the referee would stop play near the two-minute mark and notify both teams how much time officially remained. That became known naturally as the two-minute warning.

As stadium timing became standardized and everyone could clearly see the official clock, the warning was no longer necessary as an actual time notification. But the NFL kept the stoppage, and it evolved into an important strategic break—and, eventually, a convenient television commercial break.
