Losses hurt more when you are having a good year or like you said letting one slip away. No matter what is said, Mizzou is legit. Every week matters in this league. 3-4 loss teams in the end are better than 1-2 loss teams from other conferences. Great game last night. Mizzou is getting respect and if some melted down.......good. Football is about passion and hope, and those things can piss you off!

I'm with you. I don't talk shite and make big predictions because I don't like eating crow. And I've been a fan too long to not expect this. Hope it won't happen. But not surprised when it does.

It's also probably a good thing I fell asleep last night and missed all the drama. But I know it will continue. Unfortunately, the shite talkers have assured the abuse will go on for days.

Time to put this behind us and get ready for Tennessee.

Yeah, would rather be able to talk after the game without feathers tickling my throat. We had opportunities to put SC away, but you gotta give credit to those kids for hanging tough and not giving up. And as much as the trolls on this board want to pretend otherwise, there's no shame in losing to SC.

I really don't give a damn about the abuse on the rant. I don't talk much if any shite so that doesn't bother me much. What bothers me is giving away a game that should have been won.

This team has already exceeded my expectations so in that sense, I'm still thrilled with the season. At the same time, my expectations for any team is that if you're going into the 4th with a 17 point lead, you're not going to piss it away. Losing to SC doesn't drive me up the wall. It's how they lost it. And there's lots of blame to go around. Kicker. QB. WR's. Secondary. LB's. DL. Coaching. You name it.

Regardless, life will go on. Mizzou won't win the east but it will be an improvement over last year. And that's a good thing but at some point I would like to see this program move beyond an "also ran" status.

Agreed. The shame is in how you lost it.

Sometimes you just have to give the other guys credit. Shaw coming into the game was an emotional lift for SC, and they played much better afterwards.

They get credit. No doubt. Mizzou gets credit for shitting it away too though. How they never figured out how to stop simple screen passes is beyond me.

This game reminded me a ton of the loss to NEB in the monsoon. Being a Tiger fan is rough, but I still think there is light at the end of the tunnel for this team.

You all know I don't start any shite talk. There were some Mizzou fans that started some snarky threads last week. While this may make me cringe, I understand that everyone is free to post what they desire.

I did hang around until almost 3 am, with several other Mizzou fans. So Mizzou posters can't be accused of running off after a loss. (But who the hell really cares about posters on a sophomoric message board?) My meltdown was private, but no less painful. Tough to lose when a streak is going, but no team escapes the L every game. Mizzou had many lost opportunities to secure the win.

Did we lose some Mizzou folks to the ban last night?

We fans are disappointed, maybe crushed, so think how the coaches and players must feel. Team needs to review the mistakes, make adjustments and move on to the next game. It is all about beating the Vols.

I definitely entered into the shite talking fray. But I don't feel bad about. Smack talk is just that. Yesterday, we failed to deliver. It isn't going to stop me from responding to the shite talk with my own shite talk. That's just sports. Should've heard me when I played. I ran my mouth from the minute I stepped on the field to the minute I stepped off.
