One thing that hasn't been mentioned: MM has trouble seeing OVER the line whereas DL has no such trouble.

I don't believe that. Did Chase have problems seeing over the line. They are basically the same height.
More than anything may be able to question how quickly he makes decisions. Lock has gotten the ball out to the WRs on those screens faster than Mauk.

Go back and watch film of Chase and tell me what he does......he moves laterally WITH the line and steps UP between the linemen (not backwards) so he can see whereas MM moves laterally or backwards. Agree with Lock getting the ball to the receivers quicker.
Also, Chase had a lot better WRs than MM (this year or last year).

I just have not seen much improvement from last year. Hopefully my fears are put to rest, but.....
