1. Drinkwitz retained
2. DC hired away
3. some top talent transfers/enters NFL early

I think anyone hiring Baker would be rash. He made a major mistake with his largest blitz of the day coming when they only needed to force Vandy to slowly grind yards with 4:30 to play, up 17-7.

But when I think of what could force us into a complete rebuild, this would be it. We caught lightning in a bottle on defense, with Baker and the right mix of transfers. If the D breaks up before Oline, QB, and RB upgrades mature it all slips like water out of our hands...

Nobody on this roster is NFL ready.

This is sad. I have high hope for next year. Good things will come for next season. I guess your negative posts are more worthy than anything positive happening to this team and coaches.

I was over at the St. Louis new paper and there was an article about Horn starting this Vandy game, but he was scratched from the game. The reason was the OL and that would not do him any good and might do more harm. I now got the answer. Why wasn't it taken care of before the season? Remember the OC from Buffalo, New York? Missed on him for this year due to not being able to qualify. It was very late decision on him not able to transfer because he didn't meet all the requirements. Then there was another OL from Nebraska that didn't qualify and went to New Mexico State. (I think) Plus some injuries. One was out for the season. I do not know if there were others that were starters. Any other situation I think might need to hire an OC to ease the workload and make it easier on him to focus on being the HC.

Forgot the OC!

I think there are a lot of players on defense who the NFL would be interested in.

Hopper is the only NFL player on the D.

Carlies and KAD will both be drafted.

Maybe McGuire, Jernigan or Bailey too.

I guess if we want to consider late round draft picks that will get cut, you can include those.

? KAT and Carlies have good chances to go mid draft. The other 3, ya maybe they don't stick.

My point was players who have enough NFL interest that they could go early, or ones with a transfer available who feel they will get more attention playing elsewhere.

Potential, sure but that is all it is right now. College is full of kids with NFL potential. I wouldn't be making in decisions based on that.

I have some high hopes for next year. I think with an off-season of prep that Horn will be solid.

If he isn’t, then Drinkwitz or the OC need to coach to what they have. I think that’s been the disconnect this year. Trying to shove a square peg offensive plan into a round hole of personnel.

Right now Abrams-Drain is the only Mizzou player projected to be drafted. He is ranked #169 which is round 6.

The next highest ranked is Isaiah McGuire at #500

Hopper is isn’t ranked yet probably because of him transferring. I think he will be ranked high enough to be drafted.

Vanderbilt doesn’t have anyone ranked Mississippi State has 1 and Missouri has 1. The rest of the SEC has at least 4.
