If he wants FSU that badly, good luck to him. We already have 6 or 7 OL in this class anyway. I'm more concerned with defense.

Huh? So this morning there is a 180 and he is going a completely different direction.

So what is Wingo's latest destination?

At this point I could care less if he ever commits. My understanding is he wanted to commit but also wanted to look around and still take visits.

I prefer to have someone that genuinely wants to play for us without the recruiting games.

Did he announce elsewhere? Or just more stalling? They need to go ahead and fill that spot. Screw these games.

Always interesting that many want to know a posters source. Understandable but don't they realize that if the poster revealed his source then his info might dry up.

Players commit so early now that it seems like players like Wingo are drawing out the process yet there is still almost three months until signing day.

According to PM insiders he was willing to commit but still wanted to look around. I say screw that (and appears the coaching staff had similar feelings). It's too late in the game for this nonsense. With our success this year, it has opened up the door for better recruits than Wingo.

Wingo is good. I'd like to have him. Wingo is not all world. There are others just as good or better. Frankly, from a position point of view, I'd rather get a big ugly on the DL more than another DB, whether it's Wingo or not.

Agreed. If he's still wanting to keep his options open, fine, he's not a Mizzou commit. His spot is not open indefinitely. Find a player who wants to be here. If Wingo changes his mind and is willing to actually commit in the next few days, and there's a spot open, fine. But if we fill it first, his loss. I'm done with these reindeer games.

With all our early commitments, this class is almost full with just a few spots left. It's late in the game so if he is going to do it, better do it soon before the door closes.

The door is open for better recruits in more positions of need, so again, not a biggie to me whether he plays for us or not. I'm just sick of the Wingo games they enjoy playing and actually prefer someone else.

Wasn't his brother kind of a bust? Is he supposed to be better than his brother, or not?

He doesn't get nearly the hype locally that his brother got. I think his brother probably put up better offensive numbers and that explains why. Whether his brother is actually a better ball player skill wise, I have no idea.

This just has the same stink all over it. I don't know, just thinking we may not need the headaches this family brings.

Ronnie is now on the Buffalo Bills roster yet he didn't get many touches has last two years with the hogs. I'm surprised the younger brother would even consider them.

I didn't realize he was in the league - good for him! And yeah, that surprises me too, but isn't there some rumor about his parents having bad blood with Mizzou? If they're high maintenance, maybe they want him to be able to commit but still take his official visits, and the staff said no thanks? They're "want their cake and eat it too" types?

Some people say there is bad blood, some people say there isn't, so who really knows besides the Wingos and maybe the coaching staff. I do recall alot of talk that the Wingos were arky fans first and foremost.

I say good riddance to the whole lot. A kid in our own backyard that wants to play games with Mizzou isn't worthy imho. I understand he is a teenager and still immature, but that is when the parents should come in and guide him. Whether they are doing it or not, he is still into the game playing.

We have far bigger fish to fry with recruits that seem to have more legit interests in Mizzou. For me, he has had plenty of time to decide and the end to this recruiting cycle is near. Out and in state recruits higher up the totem pole should be what we focus on. Let Wingo find a place elesewhere and if it's not where he fits in the best, that's his own fault.

From what I remember, we wanted Ronnie on Defense, but were willing to let him commit as a RB.

Arky and Mizzou were the only real frontrunners and were going toe to toe.

The difference, Arky recruited him for offense. Their lead recruiter was the RB coach. Our lead recruiter was Cornell Ford, who is our St.Louis lead recruiter and our CBs coach.

If I remember correctly, his parents are divorced. (Could be wrong) I think Ronnie's mother questioned why Ford was recruiting Ronnie and not Brian Jones, the RB coach.

That led the Wingo's to think, once Ronnie signs, he's playing on defense.

Ultimately, then and now, there is a fear in the Wingo family that programs will lie, cheat and steal at their expense.

The difference between now and then, is that we were willing to hold a spot open for Ronnie if he changed his mind. Once bitten twice shy. That's not going to happen this time.

I think the bottom line for Ray is that he also likes Arky. He has a visit scheduled with them in December and probably at least wants to do that visit. Even if Mizzou was his favorite, he probably felt he at least owed it to himself to take that Arky visit. If Mizzou doesn't want to wait that long, then that's their perogative as well.
